• What is the construction of the heads? The ferrule is 7075 Aircraft Aluminum, the blades are 440 SS. The point is 440 SS. Complete head weighs 110 on our scales. The aero dynamic design hold field tip accuracy at all distances. The blade design has the spine of the blades supporting the 7075 ferrule for additional strength. The Elastomer Cartridge is a patented combination of the toughest TPU, additional Hi Impact PolyStyrene and a mad chemist special ingredient.

Will all the petals stay on with each shot? The head is designed to transfer almost all KE, but the answer is no. On tiny thin things like a tomato, honeydew melons, the petals will act like a frag grenade. On these substrates there is no resistance to keep the petals together, just like a hollow point hitting the same things. The speed of expansion with no resistance causes hollow points to split into thirds as well as out petal system. The head and cartridge design is to transfer as much KE as possible. We very seldom hunt fruits and vegetables in the wild so I think we are safe. . All petals are independant, they will fold, twist on their own creating un-matched wound channels. We have found they fully lay back on animals, ballistic gels, 20 layers of cardboard, scapulas, etc. This is when you think of a hollow point bullet. When it expands it is transferring energy in all different directions causing more trauma that ever thought possible. Do you get exit wounds? Not all the time. For decades, exit wounds have been necessary for heads that cut and cause just hemmoraging. They need them to find blood to track.
